The Lodge Inn in Alsager wins South Cheshire and Cheshire CAMRA titles
The Lodge Inn on Crewe Road has been named South Cheshire CAMRA Pub of the Year for a fourth year running, and has since added the Cheshire title for 2026.
Congleton & Alsager
Congleton is a market town on the River Dane in east Cheshire, still affectionately called Beartown after an old local legend about a bear and a town Bible. A few miles south west stands Little Moreton Hall, a timber framed Tudor manor house with wonderfully crooked walls, and the village of Astbury lies close by. Alsager, further west, has a small mere at its heart. Good news from Congleton, Alsager and the villages in between lands right here.
